Garlic

Garlic has long been used for its medicinal properties, combating sickness and improving heart health. Most of the health effects of garlic are due to a compound called allicin, which is also responsible for garlic’s distinct smell.

For those with high cholesterol, garlic supplementation appears to reduce total and/or LDL cholesterol. Studies have also found garlic supplementation to cause significant reductions in blood pressure in people with high blood pressure.

On a final note, you will see that most of my recipes include garlic – not just cloves of garlic but bulbs of garlic! Eat lots of garlic … and make sure your company does as well!
